I’m Joachim Hendrik Schipper, a PhD student in cryptography at IST Austria.

Should you wish to contact me, you may find it most convenient to send an e-mail (pgp).

I am currently working on a PhD; see my publications. You can find my CV here or on LinkedIn.

After quite a few years studying abstract algebra, I’m now mainly doing (leakage-resilient) cryptography (introduction). I have recently TA’ed Introduction to Modern Cryptography at the University of Amsterdam.

In the months before I left for the US, I worked as a system administrator for GridLine. I worked on their Debian Linux systems, and as necessary on the Windows systems.
I administer my own OpenBSD-based machines and occasionally program something, usually in C or Python. However, cryptography consumes most of my available time nowadays.
